(They were arrested on charges of criminal damage and aggravated trespass, London police say).

What is worth more art or life? Is it worth more than food? Worth more than justice? Are you more concerned about the protection of a painting or the protection of our planet and people? The cost of living crisis is part of the cost of oil crisis. Fuel is unaffordable to millions of cold, hungry families. They can’t even afford to heat a tin of soup.

(I ask you to start leaving the room, please. Protesters appear to throw tomato soup at Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers’ painting).

To stick-stuck: pegar

To stick your hands on the wall. Stuck is the past tense. So she stuck her hands to the painting. What did she tell you? She stuck her hands to the painting and she also did what else?

3 VIDEO

In the video so far the girl with the red hair is throwing soup at the painting. She glued her hands to the painting and she also did something else. What other thing did she do?

In UK is similar to Spain, I think it’s even worse, the price of the heating, electricity or water specially gas to heat your house. The price is very high so bills are very expensive. In England that’s a big problem because here in Spain it’s warm in your house but if you don’t have central heating in your house it’s too cold. Some people will die because they don’t have money to buy electricity. This is what they are protesting about the fact that some people cannot afford to heat their houses.

“Just stop oil “is the name of the group that she is part of. It is called “Just stop oil”. In the video she was saying that using oil as the main source of energy is becoming too expensive because of the oil process. What do you think the aim of “Just stop oil” is. You don’t have to think too much. What does it want to do?

People are starving, people are freezing, people are dying. We are in a climate catastrophe. And all you are afraid of is tomato soup and mashed potatoes on a painting. You know what I’m afraid of? I’m afraid because science tells us that we won’t be able to feed our families in 2050. Does it take mashed potatoes on a painting to make you listen? This painting is not going to be worth anything if we have to fight over food. When will you finally start to listen? When will you finally start and stop business as usual?

7 VIDEO

The problems we are having and we are facing with the climate change as she said is the only way to listen is if we do stupid things like throwing mashed potato on a painting. And where do you think that is?

If you can see the bottom  it says it’s in Germany. At what point in time did she say , there is a specific year, when we reach when we won’t have enough food?

9 VIDEO

Predictable means that it’s going to be raining a lot at one moment high flooding and other moment there is no rain, draught. They are talking about the people who grow crops because the weather is too unreliable. If the projections are correct food would be affected, the food production would be affected and by 2050 there won’t be enough food to feed the whole population.

There are two Italian activists who are glued to a painting in a museum. The police man dragged them out of the museum.

11 VIDEO

He took them away. We say he pulls them off the painting. He grabbed their hands and pulled them off the painting and threw them on the floor. They do that to the painting, they gave out a speech and they were taken away by the security guards.

Soup girl

The girl who threw a can of soup on a Van Gogh painting explains why she did it. Do you agree with her perspective?

It’s one of the most famous painting and because we knew it was behind glass and we knew we would never touch my chairs I was keen we never would have dreamed of damaging such a beautiful work.

Did you catch what she said about the painting?

Fossil is an old animal that died a thousands years ago. It’s supposed to leave behind and was imprinted. What do you think fossil fuels are?

14 VIDEO

You set up new places to drill for fuel and gas rather than choosing renewable sources of energy like wind fan, solar panels. She’s instead choosing oil power to license more fossil drills that are damaging the planet.

There’s let us the cost of living crisis where this winter people are going to be forced to choose between heating and eating. This is the conversation we need to be having now. Last year sir David King said what we do in the next three to four years will determine the future of humanity so we’re doing this.

16 VIDEO

We call it the point of no return. If we drive towards a cliff the point of no return means off the edge of the cliff. If we don`t stop or carry out what we must we are going to fall off the cliff. If we pass that point of no return we won’t be able to hold our actions.
